Small Area Games
Small area games are very important for development due to their ability to enhance players' skills in a dynamic and concentrated setting. By confining play to smaller spaces, these games require quick decision-making, improved puck control, and encourage creative problem-solving under pressure. Additionally, the heightened engagement and increased number of touches on the puck lead to accelerated skill development.
Video Tape Analysis
Video analysis is crucial in hockey as it provides an unparalleled tool for in-depth performance evaluation. By reviewing gameplay footage, players and coaches can dissect individual actions, identifying strengths and weaknesses of skating. We believe that video analysis is one of the most important parts of the camp. Video never lies, players may think they are doing something right but after they see it on video it is super clear.
Off Ice Activities
Off-ice team activities play a crucial role in fostering camaraderie and skill development. These activities not only provide a break from on-ice training but also promote teamwork, communication, and problem-solving in a different context. Engaging in exercises like team challenges, fitness routines, and strategic games off the ice enhances players' overall understanding of the game and strengthens the bonds that contribute to a successful team dynamic.
Giveaways
On the last day of camp, following the camp scrimmage there will be a raffle giving away autograph sticks, pucks and other memorabilia for the camp participants.
